Hartford Police Department and Licenses and Inspections approved license

1. Applicant Requirements

  • Completed Application

  • License fee

  • Criminal Background check fee $5.00
    (If paying by check this fee must be paid separately from the license fee)

2. Submit the background check fee in person to the Hartford Police Department.
    Come prepared with a photo I.D.

3. Bring your approved background check and a completed license application to Licenses and Inspections.  

4. You will be contacted when your license is ready to be picked-up; all licensing fees must be
    paid in full prior to issuance.

  • Pawnbrokers must submit proof of a $2,000.00 Surety Bond
