Brooks Pharmacy
opens on Franklin Avenue

Brooks
Pharmacy opened its first store in Hartford early this month at
315 Franklin Avenue. The store currently employs 12 Hartford area
residents and stands ready to hire and train additional bright and
motivated people for its newest retail center.
“Each
employee plays such an important role in our organization and its
continued success,“ says store manager John Mackintosh. “We
want to encourage all of our employees to continue their career
goals with us and encourage promotion from within - we think that
is the root to our success.”
Brooks
currently operates in six New England states and employs more than
8,900 people. One of the fastest growing chains in New England,
Brooks also remains committed to the communities in which it serves
by setting aside funds each year for charitable causes like Special
Olympics, American Red Cross, American Heart Association, American
Lung Association, New England Victims Fund, Genesis Fund Kiss Concert
and numerous other charitable events. Each store offers a state-of-the-art
centralized database and "RxCare” computer system, which
allows the pharmacy to provide better customer service.
The
Hartford store will be open Monday through Saturday from 8 a.m.
to 9 p.m., and Sundays from 8 a.m. to 6 p.m. and will serve is clientele
with a pharmacy, photocopier, fax services, money orders, gift cards,
and Lottery.
