New
Brooks Pharmacy opens on Franklin Avenue
Brooks
Pharmacy opened its first store in Hartford early this month at
315 Franklin Avenue. The store currently employs 12 Hartford area
residents and stands ready to hire and train additional bright and
motivated people for its newest retail center. |

Connecticut
Public Broadcasting celebrates new headquarters
Connecticut Public Broadcasting is transforming
an Asylum Avenue office building, vacant since 1997, into a $12
million new corporate headquarters. In addition to the planned renovation
of an existing building, Connecticut Public Broadcasting is building
in an adjacent lot a 5,600-square-foot building that will house
two state-of-the-art television studio. |

Insurity President Jeffrey Glazer says his company, which develops
software for insurance companies, has been “growing dramatically,
year after year,” and has been on the lookout for a new
corporate headquarters. The Sawtooth Building offers unique advantages,
he says, “and we’re very excited about it.” |
