Alchemy Juice Bar & Café Opens
at 203 New Britain Avenue

HEDC partnered with the New Britain Avenue Merchants Association to help local entrepreneur Imani open the Alchemy Juice Bar & Café. Alchemy offers 100-percent organic juices, smoothies, salads, soups and wraps, as well as organic produce, vitamins, health and beauty products and other related grocery items.

“I’ve always wanted to operate a business that’s not only successful, but fun as well,” Imani said. “In Hartford, we can tap into the high-end market of office workers, college students and neighborhood residents and provide them with a soothing, natural environment in which to relax and enjoy an organic meal or drink.”

HEDC provided Alchemy with assistance in the following areas:
