Mayor Eddie Perez, in conjunction with the Connecticut Employer Support of the Guard and Reserve (ESGR) Committee, will present the “My Boss is a Patriot Award.”  Employees have nominated their employers in recognition of supporting the efforts of our men and women in the military.  Some of the employees will be on hand for this special ceremony.  Others are still serving overseas but still want their companies saluted for patriotism.

Mayor Perez says, “This event is to say thank you to our local companies that have gone above and beyond the call of duty in support of their employees in uniform.  The ceremony is also in honor of Veterans’ Day, a time to remember everyone who has served our great nation and of course, pay our respects to those who have made the ultimate sacrifice.”
