"The family of Matthew Arace is extremely
grateful for the outpouring of support
extended to us during this very difficult
time. We especially wish to acknowledge the
men and women of the Hartford Police
Department and the surrounding departments,
Charlie Lilley and Armand Lupo, and Tom and
Daria Ayers. We also wish to extend our
heartfelt sympathies to the family of New
Haven Police Officer Daniel Picagli. Our pain
