DARRYL CRENSHAW WANTED BY HARTFORD POLICE.

(Hartford) -
Detectives of the Hartford Police Department's Major Crimes Division have secured an arrest warrant for Darryl Crenshaw, AKA "Red", DOB 3/26/1983, LKA 65 Church Street, Enfield, Connecticut, in connection with the kidnapping and assault of Ashley Peoples.  Enfield Police are seeking a warrant for Crenshaw charging him with capitol murder of Peoples, whose body was located in Crenshaw's Enfield apartment by Enfield Police on Sunday, August 10th, 2008.  Hartford Police issued a missing person alert for Ashley Peoples and began an investigation on her whereabouts Friday, August 8, 2008, following a complaint filed by her family with Hartford Police.

Crenshaw, described as a 25 year old Black male, 6', 158 lbs, numerous tattoos, was last seen driving a green 2000-01 Chyrsler Concord LXI.  Although he is depicted in a previous mugshot to be bald with a beard, police believe he has shaved his beard and grown his hair.  Crenshaw, who has made threats against police, is considered extremely dangerous.  A Hartford Superior Court Judge has set Crenshaw's bond at $2 million.

Anyone with information on the whereabouts of Darryl Crenshaw is asked to not approach him but to contact Hartford Police Major Crimes Detectives Seth Condon or William Siemonko at 860-757-4265, call Crime Stoppers at 860-722-TIPS (8477), or Text-A-Tip at CRIMES (274637) enter TIP716 and message.
