Hartford Police and Lamar Advertising Partner to Catch Criminals

(Hartford) -
Police Chief Daryl K. Roberts today announced that the Hartford Police Department has partnered with Lamar Advertising to utilize their digital billboards throughout the state to broadcast images and information about suspects wanted by Hartford police and missing persons.  Lamar is also partnering with Hartford Crime Stoppers to publicize Crime Stopper information on their digital billboards and their static, paper poster and junior poster billboards throughout Hartford neighborhoods.

The HPD/Lamar partnership, in its first initiative launched today, is focusing on the capture of Darryl Crenshaw, wanted by Hartford and Enfield Police for the kidnapping and murder of Ashley Peoples.  See related press releases:  Hartford Police Search for Ashley Peoples; Darryl Crenshaw Suspect in Ashley Peoples Murder; HPD Darryl Crenshaw Wanted Poster; Hartford Crime Stoppers Darryl Crenshaw Wanted Flyer.

Below is a sample of the Lamar digital image of the Crenshaw billboard that is appearing 8 seconds every minute on four Lamar billboards in the Hartford area, two in Waterbury, with 14 more planned statewide as the program expands.  View Map of Lamar Digital Billboard Location with Darryl Crenshaw Wanted Ad.
