Hartford Police Release Identity of Homicide Victim

(Hartford) -  Detectives of the Hartford Police Department's Major Crimes Division have confirmed the identity of a New Year's Day homicide victim as Morgan Parker, 25, of 17 Adams Street, Hartford.

At approximately 5:41 a.m. on January 1st, 2009, officers responded to 944 Asylum Avenue on a report of shots fired.  On arrival officers located Morgan Parker in front of 927 Asylum Avenue suffering from multiple gunshot wounds.  Emergency medical assistance was immediately administered by responding police.  EMS personnel arrived on scene and pronounced Parker deceased at 6:02 a.m.

The Hartford Police Department's Major Crimes Division investigation is ongoing.  Anyone with information about the shooting death of Morgan Parker is asked to contact Hartford Police Department Major Crimes Sergeant Rob Davis at 860-757-4256 or call Hartford Crime Stoppers at 860-722-TIPS (8477).
