Hartford -  On Thursday, April 2, 2009, Hartford Police Chief Daryl K. Roberts will lead a workshop on Ethical Supervision at the National Association of Black Law Enforcement Officers Spring Education and Training Conference  to be held at the Crown Plaza in Hartford from April 2nd through April 5th, 2009.

Hartford Fire Chief Charles A. Teale, Sr. is also scheduled to present at a workshop on Police/Fire Relationships and  Hartford Police Major Crimes Arson Detective Jerry Bilbo will lead a workshop on Arson Investigation at the conference.

"Is it an honor and privilege to be invited to share the knowledge and supervisory experience I gained throughout the many years I served as a supervisor with the Hartford Police Department.  I believe it is incumbent upon veteran leaders to  share their knowledge and learning experiences with up and coming law enforcement professionals and with colleagues from around the country," said Hartford Police Chief Daryl K. Roberts.

"As I believe true service to the community can only be achieved through integrity, self-discipline, devotion to duty, dedication to service, and most importantly, ethical behavior, these are the issues I will be focusing on in the Ethical Supervision Workshop I am scheduled to lead on April 2, 2009, from 10:00 a.m. to 12:00 noon.  I look forward to not only my participation as a workshop leader but to also hosting law enforcement colleagues from around the country to our great city."
