Hartford - Hartford Police Chief Daryl K. Roberts will host an unveiling of a mural painted at Hartford Police Headquarters by Hartford students participating in the Our Piece of the Pie Summer Youth Employment Program.  The ceremony, to be held on Thursday, August 13, 2009 at Hartford Police Headquarters, 50 Jennings Road,  will begin at 11:00 a.m.

Young people from Our Piece of the Pie designed and painted the mural as part of the summer youth employment program administered through Capital Workforce Partners and funded by the City of Hartford, Hartford Foundation for Public Giving, area Corporate Foundations and private donations.

The mural project is a program of Junior Art Makers, one of Our Piece of the Pie's Youth Businesses which provides youth with entrepreneurial and life skills to meet the demands of the workplace.
