Surveillance Video of Webster Bank ATM Robbery;
Hartford Police Seek Public Assistance in Identifying Suspect

Hartford -  Detectives of the Hartford Police Department's Major Crimes Division have secured a video of a January 7th, 2009, armed robbery that occurred at the ATM of the Webster Bank located at 324 Franklin Avenue, Hartford.  Click here to view video.    View video on YouTube.

On January 7th, the victim was attempted to use the ATM when the suspect approached from behind and at gun point forced him to withdraw $500,00 from his account.  The suspect fled on foot west on Bushnell Street then north on Adelaide.  State and Hartford Police conducted a canvass and K-9 track unsuccessfully.  The suspect's trail was lost in the 100 block of Adelaide Street.  The clear video of the incident was obtained by detectives from bank officials and is now being released in an effort to gain the community's assistance in identifying the suspect.

Described as an Hispanic male, 5'9" to 5'11", in his late teen to early twenties with a thin build, the suspect was last seen wearing a black zippered hoodie with the word "Rocawear" in white letters across the right sleeve.  The jacket also had a diamond shaped emblem on the right chest.  He was wearing faded black or gray jeans, shoes with white on the toe, a black neoprene mask, and was in possession of a gray pistol type firearm.
