Hartford Police Searching for Car Jacking Suspect

Hartford - Detectives of the Hartford Police Department's Major Crimes Division are searching for a suspect depicted in the photo below in connection with an investigation into a car jacking and shooting that occurred on January 1, 2009, at the corner of Garden Street and Albany Avenue.

The suspect, described as a short, heavy set Hispanic male, fled the gas station in teh red Ford Windstar mini van also depicted in the photos.  The van's windshield has the words "JOHN 3:16" in white lettering at the top.

Anyone with information on the whereabouts of this van and/or the suspect in the photo is asked to contact Hartford Police Major Crimes Detective Andrew Jacobson at 860-757-4203.
