NEWS RELEASE Christopher Parker Charged in July 4th, 2008 Shooting Hartford - Detectives of the Hartford Police Department's Major Crimes Division have charged Christopher Parker, 19, of 119 Baltimore Street, Hartford, with criminal attempt to commit murder in connection with a shooting that occurred on July 4th, 2008. At approximately 11:30 p.m. on July 4th, officers responded to 274 Albany Avenue on a report of shots fired. On arrival officers located tow gunshot victims in a Nissan Maxima which had crashed into a fence. The operator of the vehicle was suffering from multiple gunshot wounds and the front seat passenger was suffering from one gunshot would. Both victims have recovered from their injuries. Parker, described as a 5'4" Black male, 110 lbs, is also charged by police with conspiracy to commit murder, criminal use of a firearm, criminal possession of a firearm, carrying a pistol without a permit, illegal use of a firearm and assault in the first degree. He remains in custody pending arraignment in Hartford Superior Court on $500,000 bond. .
