| SUBJECT: | Trash and Recycling Disposal Warning Notice |
Dear Business Owner/ Operator:
This letter is to remind you that under the City’s Special Allowance Service Program, as outlined in the Waste & Recycling Guidelines, Rules & Regulation policy booklet, see page 15, small businesses and non-profit organizations are allowed city trash collection services as long as they do not generate more than two 95 gallon containers of trash for weekly city pick-up.
Your
trash presentation volume at the curb for trash collection has been observed as
exceeding the two
95-gallon cart limits. Regular trash presentation exceeding the two
95-gallon cart limits will result in termination of city service and you will be
required to obtain commercial trash service.
You are reminded that recycling is mandatory and proper separation of recyclables will reduce your trash volume.
Attached is a copy of the Department of Public Work’s Waste & Recycling Guidelines, Rules & Regulations booklet for your review and information.
The
Public Works Department is dedicated to reducing and eliminating litter, trash
and recycling violations in the city. Please comply with the rules and
regulations in order to avoid termination of city trash collection services.
Director, Department of Public Works
