Bulky Waste

Beginning January 1, 2018, qualified residential properties will have to schedule the collection of approved bulky items. Each residential property, 6 units or fewer is allotted two (2) free collections per year, of five (5) or fewer approved bulky items. Residents with additional items for disposal can schedule additional collections at a cost of $75 per collection, or obtain a $10 permit (max 4 visits) and transport items to the transfer station directly.

The Hartford Bulky Waste & Recycling Center provide permits for residents and small business to drop off accepted materials. A permit is required to process material drop off. Currently the only payment accepted is money order, cashier check, and credit card. No personal checks accepted, we apologize for the inconvenience.

Cost $10 (4 visits)

antifreeze liquid, appliances with CFCs, batteries, capacitors, bulky furniture, thermostats, propane tanks, wood

Small Business Commercial Permit

Qualification
Owner of Multiple Properties, Owner of Small Business, Handyman Services, Landscapers
Cost $50 plus per load price by vehicle size
Required ID Register Vehicle Insurance, Form-ID, Hartford Customers

electronic, used e-waste, containers; glass, metal & plastic 1-7, mixed paper, leaves, metal, clothing, shoes, oil
Acceptable Material:
