All residents are advised to prepare for curbside leaf collection of paper bags only!
Paper leaf bags may be purchased at home improvement and grocery stores.
Please place only leaves in bags and set them out on your regular trash day starting Week beginning April 21st and ending the week of April 28, 2014
The alternative is to bring leaves to the transfer station. A Recycling Green permit will be needed. Registration for Green Permits is at Public Works Main Office 50 Jennings Road –Green Permits are free for leaves and recyclables only! The Transfer Station is open Tuesdays through Saturdays, 9 am to 2 pm.

As part of the Mayors’ upcoming Anti-Litter campaign, The City of Hartford is partnering with Knox’s in their Annual Spring Clean-up drive to combat litter. The 2014 Cleanups will be held on four consecutive Saturdays: April 19, April 26, May 3 and May 10. Here you will find Knox’s Official Press release and clean-up registration form. The program is seeking volunteers.
