The Hartford Fire Explorers Post #1 is a program sponsored by the Hartford Fire Department and the boy scouts of America.  This program is designed to teach youth about the fire service and encourage them to become future firefighters.

You will be exposed to many aspects of the fire service including: Fire Suppression, Fire Investigation, Incident Commands, E.M.S, Physical Agility, Discipline, chain of commands and many other aspects.

To become a Hartford Fire Explorer you must reside in the City of Hartford and be between ages
14-20.

Meetings are held every Wednesday from 5-8 P.M. at Hartford Fire Headquarters (Tactical Unit 1, District 1) 275 Pearl Street Hartford, CT 06103.
