Councilpersons Elizabeth Horton Sheff, Kenneth H. Kennedy, Jr., Hernan LaFontaine, Robert L. Painter and Calixto Torres will represent the Council at a Public Hearing to be held in the Council Chambers of the Municipal Building at 7:00 p.m., Monday, April 17, 2006.  

1.                  Resolution de Authorization for sale of City-owned property located at 90 Earl Street to Habitat for Humanity.

2.                  Resolution de Designation of the traffic triangle at the corner of Granby and Cornwall Streets as Marcus Mosiah Garvey Place.

3.                  Resolution de Authorization to purchase from Connecticut National Properties, LLC the property located at 269-273 High Street. 

4.                  Resolution de Authorization to purchase from Haupt Holdings, LLC the property located at 263-265 High Street.

5.                  Ordinance appropriating $1,300,000 for renovations and improvements to the South End Senior Center and Police Substation on Maple Avenue and authorizing the issuance of $1,300,000 bonds of the City to meet said appropriation and pending the issuance thereof the making of temporary borrowings for such purpose. ($1,300,000).

6.                  Ordinance appropriating $450,000 for renovations and improvements to the Board of Education leased facility at 875 Asylum Avenue and authorization to issue bonds of the City to meet said appropriation and pending the issuance thereof the making of temporary borrowings for such purpose. ($450,000).

7.                  Ordinance appropriating $2,000,000 for renovations and improvements to the Jennings Road Police Facility and Police Substations and authorizing the issuance of $2,000,000 bonds of the City to meet said appropriation and pending the issuance thereof the making of temporary borrowings for such purpose. ($2,000,000).

8.                  Ordinance amending Chapter 2A, Article II, Section 2A-25(b)(2) of Code de Pensions. (NBU-GG provisions).

9.                  Ordinance amending Chapter 2A, Article I, Section 2A-8 (a) of Code de Pensions. (Credited service).

10.              Ordinance establishing the Ridgefield Street Historic District. 

11.              Ordinance providing for increase in compensation for Town and City Clerk.

12.              Ordinance establishing a Youth Services Director in the Executive Classification and Compensation Plan.
