The MetroHartford Alliance proposes to support the City’s Department of Development Services Division of Planning by developing, with the City, HARTFORD 2010: A Vision and Action Strategy (the “Framework”).  The Framework will build on the considerable accomplishments of the past five years and be designed specifically to attract additional private investment in the City through a series of targeted capital investments. The Framework will reflect the community’s vision for a dynamic, livable, healthy, and economically vibrant City.

Metro Hartford Alliance

The MetroHartford Alliance is a member driven organization that draws on the expertise and resources of its 2,300 business, institutional, and municipal funders to facilitate economic expansion and business development in north central Connecticut by implementing key policies, strategies and actions that help achieve the vision of the Region. The Alliance works everyday to ensure that the Hartford Region competes as a premier place for all people to live, play, work and raise a family.

CRCOG
http://www.crcog.org

The Capitol Region Council of Governments (CRCOG) is guided by the chief elected officials of our 29 Metro Hartford municipalities. The mayors, first selectmen, and town council chairmen who make up our governing Policy Board recognize that the future of our individual members is tied to the future of our region. Our members have collaborated for more than 30 years on a wide range of projects to benefit our towns individually and the region as a whole.

LISC
http://lisc.org/

LISC helps resident-led, community-based development organizations transform distressed communities and neighborhoods into healthy ones – good places to live, do business, work and raise families. By providing capital, technical expertise, training and information, LISC supports the development of local leadership and the creation of affordable housing, commercial, industrial and community facilities, businesses and jobs.

United Way of Connecticut
http://www.ctunitedway.org/unitedway.asp

United Way of Connecticut is the state association for the 24 independent United Ways in the State. As a professional association, we support Connecticut’s local United Ways in their work to improve life in each of their towns and communities. At the State level, United Way of Connecticut parallels the local work of individual United Ways by partnering with other groups to maximize the quality of human services. The most direct way we do that is through the management and operation of a statewide help-by-telephone service called 2-1-1 Infoline.

Hartford Foundation
http://www.hfpg.org/matriarch/

As Greater Hartford's community-wide charitable endowment, the Hartford Foundation for Public Giving is permanently committed to improving the quality of life for residents throughout the region. To achieve this goal, we: provide financial and other support that enables people and institutions to serve the community effectively; promote informed charitable giving in order to expand the region's philanthropic resources; and participate actively in efforts to identify important community needs and opportunities, as well as the means to address them.
