Ramón Espinoza - Media Liaison

Ramón Espinoza joined the Mayor’s office in September 2005. He has a BA in Political Science with a minor in Latin American and Caribbean Studies from the University of Connecticut. Ramón has also studied social work in Puerto Rico. Other experience includes traveling to Cuba to conduct ethnographic interviews and to study social institutions. Before joining mayor Perez’s staff, Ramón worked for ASPIRA of Connecticut as an AmeriCorps member and as a Voter Registration Officer for the Puerto Rican Federal Affairs Administration. As the Media Liaison, Ramón reports to the Director of Communications and assists in writing and disseminating media advisories and releases. Ramón also assists in preparing media events and helping reporters get the information they need in reference to the Mayor's initatives. Ramón is a Hartford native and continues to live in the Capital City.
