Constituent Services

FUNCTION:

  • To monitor, quantify and track the delivery of services to Hartford residents and to ensure they receive timely and accurate responses
  • To facilitate communication between residents of Hartford and City Hall
  • To interact with the community in order to disseminate information regarding the Mayor’s programs and initiatives, and to determine how to best meet the needs of the various community groups

This is the office where residents can call (860-757-9500) or come by (room 203 at City Hall) to ask questions about an issue that they don't know how to solve.  Our friendly and well-trained Community Liaisons are actively engaged with community groups in all of Hartford's 17 neighborhoods so they are strong resources and can help answer your questions.  They attend group meetings, are in touch with issues that are important to residents, and reach out to community leaders.  They are pro-active in taking the pulse of the public and quickly respond to any urgent matters.

Constituent Services is also responsible for requests regarding proclamations and special citations.  Please submit requests and provide the necessary information two weeks in advance of when the proclamation or citation will be presented.  This office also will respond to requests for memoriums.  Please call the Mayor’s Office or fax request to (860) 722-6606.

311 is part of Constituent Services.  This is the number you call if you have a question or request for a non-emergency city service.  (Remember, in case of an emergency, call 9-1-1)
