LEE C. ERDMANN- CHIEF OPERATING OFFICER.

Lee C. Erdmann began his official duties on September 1, 2002 initially as City Manager and currently as Chief Operating Officer.  In this new role, he brings a wealth of experience to Hartford.  Most recently, he served as Wethersfield Town Manager for 15 years.  Prior to that, Mr. Erdmann worked for the City of Hartford for twelve years in a variety of increasingly responsible positions.  He was hired as a Senior Administrative Analyst and attained the level of Assistant City Manager before moving on to Wethersfield.  Mr. Erdmann began his professional career in Durham, North Carolina where he spent two years as an Administrative Assistant. 

 

Lee Erdmann has assumed leadership roles in a variety of professional associations. He served as President of the Connecticut Town and City Management Association for two terms, and President of the Connecticut Chapter of the American Society for Public Administration for one term.  Currently, he is a member of the Board of Directors of the following organizations:  The Citizens Network of the Capital Region, The Hartford Business Improvement District, The Connecticut Conference of Municipalities, The Capitol Region Council of Governments, the Hartford Chapter of the American Leadership Forum, The Connecticut Chapter of the American Society for Public Administration, The Connecticut Award for Excellence, The Learning Corridor Corporation, The Burr McManus Trust, Hartford Proud and Beautiful Foundation, Inc. and The Curtis R. Vance Foundation.

 

Mr. Erdmann earned a Bachelor's degree in Political Science at the University of Connecticut and a Master's degree in Public Administration at the University of North Carolina. He resides in Hartford with his wife Ginger, a teacher in the Hartford Public Schools.
