Directions to the Health Services Division
131 Coventry Street, adjacent to Mt. Sinai Hospital
(Corner of Tower and Coventry in the north end of Hartford)
FROM THE SOUTH:
From I-91 Northbound, take Exit 33, JENNINGS ROAD. At the top of the ramp, at the light, make a left onto Jennings Road. You'll go over 91, then down a hill. Go through the light at the bottom, and up and over an overpass. At the end, when you can't go any further, you'll come to a light. Turn right at this light onto Windsor Street. At the light at the end of Windsor Street (approximately 100 yards from your last turn), turn right onto MAIN STREET. At the third light, turn left onto TOWER AVENUE. There's a Sav-More gas station on the right hand side. Continue down Tower, going through two lights, and then coming to a third. This is the corner of Tower and COVENTRY, and we're across the street, the 2-story brick building behind the fence. It's the BURGDORF/FLEET HEALTH CENTER. Go through the light, and turn left into the parking lot.
FROM THE NORTH:
Get on I-91 South. Exit at Exit 34, NORTH MAIN STREET. At the bottom of the ramp turn right onto North Main Street. At the third light, make a right onto TOWER AVENUE. Continue down Tower, going through two lights, and then coming to a third. This is the corner of Tower and COVENTRY, and we're across the street, the 2-story brick building behind the fence. It's the BURGDORF/FLEET HEALTH CENTER. Go through the light, and turn left into the parking lot.
FROM THE EAST OR THE WEST VIA I-84:
Exit I-84 onto I-91 NORTH and follow 'From the South" above.
PARKING:
While there is free onsite parking at the Burgdorf/Fleet Health Center, parking has recently been a problem for a variety of reasons, and spaces may be quite limited or unavailable. There is a free gated lot with security on the right hand side of Tower Avenue, just before the intersection of Tower and Coventry. Most Health Department employees park here, and it is a 5 minute walk (2/10 of a mile) to the Burgdorf/Fleet Health Center from here. If you choose not to walk, shuttle buses will pick you up and take you to the Burgdorf. These run approximately every 15 minutes.
