Minority and Woman Business Enterprise Certification

The Minority/Women Business Enterprise program is a certification program that permits minority and women owned businesses to participate in the City of Hartford set-aside programs.  Certification is made by review of applications, which is reviewed by the Office of Human Relations and awarded by the city manager. An application can be obtained from the Human Relations Office, (860) 757-9785. The application, once completed and notarized, must be sent to the Office of Human Relations for review.  Businesses are re-certified every two years.  A checklist of all required materials for the application is also available.
