Under general supervision, performs professional medical work in a clinic and/or a public health program focused on teen pregnancy and STD prevention. Provides technical assistance to health center partners. Assists with various educational projects as needed and documents grant initiatives. Assists with clinical outreach efforts and provides oversight of reproductive health services. Attends inter-agency conferences and professional meetings. Interacts with clients and other stakeholders. Maintains a variety of statistical records and reports. Develops systems to enhance the coordination of care for adolescents to reduce teen pregnancies.

Under direction, maintains a perspective on activities, issues, requirements, policies, and state statutes in order to ensure contract compliance. In a timely and accurate manner, provides legal and ethical support and guidance to all City and Board of Education (BOE) departments. Manages and coordinates the entire Request For Response (RFR) process and develops contracts. Provides guidance on procurement ordinances and regulations and attends the solicitation request and selection committee meetings with affected departments. Recommends process improvements to systems and procedures. Advises and trains customers on the procurement process.

Vacancies are in the Division for Young Children of the Department for Families, Children, Youth and Recreation. Under immediate supervision, performs public safety and recreational work in enforcing regulations and preventing injuries or loss of life at municipal swimming pools or beaches. Keeps attentive lookout for accidents in water and on deck/beach front. Warns swimmers against dangerous practices and pool/beach policies. Prevents accidents through the enforcement of rules and regulations governing the conduct of persons at a swimming pool or beach. Resuscitates rescued bathers, administers first aid, and calls 911 in serious accident cases. Assists bathers from water when in distress. Assists in teaching swimming and lifesaving procedures, and coaches swimming teams. Instructs non-swimmers and weak swimmers to stay out of deep water.
