$21,730 in Grant Funds Promotes Entrepreneurs in the Fields of Technology, Science & Innovation
(July 17, 2012) – The City of Hartford and the Connecticut Science Center are proud to announce that Aztech Engineers has been selected to receive $15,000 in grant funding and Open Wire Lab has been selected to receive $6,730 in grant funding through the Hartford Business Development Grant for Innovative Entrepreneurs. This fund is designed to help entrepreneurs move forward with projects in the areas of applied science, technology, and innovation.
5 Locations Will Again Be Open at 9AM Tomorrow
(July 17, 2012) – With temperatures again expected to be in the 90's tomorrow, July 18, Mayor Pedro E. Segarra, in conjunction with Dr. Raul Pino, Dr. Jose-Colon Rivas and Fire Chief Edward Casares, Jr., has ordered the five cooling centers to open at 9:00AM.
(July 17, 2012) --- Due to project delays, Summit Street will be closed between Zion Street and Allen Place from Wednesday, July 18th through Monday, July 23rd while contractors for Northeast Utilities perform street excavation work. No through traffic will be permitted during construction periods. Work will begin at 7AM and is expected to be completed by 5PM daily. Hartford Police Officers will be on site to ensure vehicular and pedestrian safety.
