Public Presentations Scheduled For Monday, July 9 at 5:30PM at the Hartford Public Library

Segarra today announced that 3 Police Chief search finalists will be making a public presentation and answering written questions from members of the public on Monday, July 9 from 5:30-7:00PM at the Hartford Public Library, Main Branch, in the new Center for Contemporary Culture Room.
For Summit and South Whitney Street Excavations
(July 3, 2012) --- On Monday, July 9th through Friday, July 13th, South Whitney Street (near Park Street) will be reduced to one lane while contractors for Northeast Utilities perform street excavation work. The road is expected to be open for vehicles with Traffic Control Officers in place. Work will begin at 9AM and is expected to be completed by 3PM daily. Hartford Police Officers will be on site to ensure vehicular and pedestrian safety.
(July 5, 2012) --- Mayor Pedro E. Segarra today announced that he has appointed Hartford resident Floyd W. Green III, Vice President of Community Relations and Urban Marketing for Aetna, and Thomas Deller, Director of Development Services, as the City's representatives to the Capital Region Development Authority (CRDA).
(June 30, 2012) --- The Departments of Children, Families, Youth & Recreation and Public Works announced this morning that at or around 4:30AM this morning a stolen motor vehicle crashed through the fence at Goodwin Park and was found partially submerged in the pool. The pool has been closed until further notice. If a determination is made that the water has been contaminated, there is a possibility that it may be closed for an extended period of time.
As additional information is received, it will be released to the public and media.
