10:00 a.m.--- Mayor Eddie A. Perez supports the Connecticut Against Gun Violence Education Fund and its “Red Flag Campaign.” The Mayor says, “It is essential that we ask the question, where did they get the gun?” At the news conference, Mayor Perez will outline his support of local and national efforts underway to strengthen gun laws and to keep illegal guns from coming to Connecticut. Chief Daryl K. Roberts and neighborhood leaders will also attend this event at the Johnson-Stewart Community Center, 127 Martin Street, in Hartford’s Northeast neighborhood. 12:00 p.m.--- Mayor Perez will present proclamations to dignitaries attending the Dominican Republic Flag Raising. The ceremony will mark the 163rd anniversary of the independence of the Dominican Republic. The event will take place in the Function Room on the second floor of City Hall, 550 Main Street in Downtown Hartford.
