MAYOR PEREZ SALUTES SENIORS AND KIDS

---NEWS ADVISORY FOR FEBRUARY 28^TH---

11:00  a.m.--- Mayor Eddie A. Perez will hand out carnations to members of the Hispanic Senior Center.  Each year, they gather at Pope Park Recreation Center to celebrate their “Queen of Hearts” event.  Because of the inclement weather on Valentine’s Day, the party was postponed until now.  Pope Park Recreation Center is located at 30 Pope Park Drive in the City’s Frog Hollow neighborhood.

1:00 p.m.--- Mayor Perez will talk about the importance of positive role models as he addresses 4^th, 5^th, and 6^th graders at Clark Elementary School.  The Mayor will draw upon his personal experiences and will stress the importance of education and how empowering it can be.  Clark Elementary is located at 75 Clark Street in the Northeast neighborhood.
