ON THE ROAD TO TALK TO NEIGHBORS

MARCH 26, APRIL 4, AND APRIL 10---
Monday, March 26th
6:00 p.m. --- Mayor Perez talks to residents of the South End tonight. This stop is at Naylor School, 639 Franklin Avenue in the South End. Public safety, youth services, and education will be just some of the highlighted topics.
Wednesday, April 4th
6:00 p.m.--- Mayor Perez will be in the West End at Noah Webster School located at 5 Cone Street. Details of the State of the City speech will be addressed.
Tuesday, April 10th
6:00 p.m.--- Mayor Perez talks to neighbors in the Northeast at the Salvation Army at 100 Nelson Street.
The first stop on the State of the City Tour was to Rawson Elementary School in the Blue Hills neighborhood. Last Monday (March 19th), Mayor Perez and Department heads answered residents’ questions regarding public safety, education, snow removal, and quality of life issues.
Mayor Perez delivered his State of the City Address on March 12th to a packed crowd in City Council Chambers. Some of his major points include:
1. Adding 80 more police officers including bringing back the Mounted Patrol
2. Getting illegal guns off the streets of Hartford
3. Investing in our youth through academic enrichment and after school programs
4. Reducing blight
5. Increasing homeownership, rentals, and retail
