NEW “HIGH ENERGY DRINK”
NOT WANTED ON HARTFORD STORE SHELVES
---NEWS ADVISORY FOR WEDNESDAY, APRIL 18TH---
11:00 a.m. --- Mayor Eddie A. Perez, Attorney General Richard Blumenthal, and several leaders from merchant associations and neighborhood organizations are working together to keep a new high energy drink called “Cocaine” off store shelves in the Capital City.
Mayor Perez has written a letter to several neighborhood leaders asking them to voluntarily keep this product off store shelves because it is not the image that Hartford wishes to project. In the letter he writes, “This is the kind of tactic that tries to undo all the positive things we have accomplished together.”
The Mayor will go into more detail at a news conference in City Council Chambers on the second floor of City Hall, 550 Main Street in Downtown Hartford. Attorney General Blumenthal, who has already taken a strong stand regarding this product, will detail his actions at this news conference as well.
The news conference will air live for Hartford residents on Government Cable Access Channel 21.
