HIGHLIGHT MAYOR PEREZ’S PUBLIC EVENTS

---NEWS ADVISORY FOR THURSDAY, APRIL 19^TH---

10:30 a.m. --- Mayor Eddie A. Perez and DEP Commissioner Gina McCarthy will attend fish restocking event at Keney Park Pond in the City’s Northeast neighborhood.  The Mayor will talk about providing positive choices for Hartford youth.

11:30 p.m.--- Mayor Perez and the organization “Our Piece of the Pie” will kick-off National Youth Service Day at the Old State House in Downtown Hartford.

12:00 p.m.--- Mayor Perez welcomes folks to the Earth Day Celebration at City Hall, Burr Mall and the main branch of the Hartford Public Library.  (The welcome will take place in the Atrium of City Hall, 550 Main Street, in Downtown Hartford).  Recycling, renewable energy, and conservation are all big features of this event.
