(May 24, 2007)--- Mayor Eddie A. Perez wishes Hartford residents a safe and happy Memorial Day Holiday Weekend. The Mayor says, “Let us all remember the brave Americans who paid the ultimate sacrifice for our country and our freedom. That freedom is reflected in the joy I hope you will be able to share with family and friends at special outings and events.”
The Mayor goes on to say, “Some ways we can appreciate our freedom is through celebrating Hartford’s historic parks. If you are in Bushnell Park, you can enjoy the Carousel. You may want to enjoy a game of golf at Keney or Goodwin Parks or a picnic in the Rose Garden at Elizabeth Park. Whatever holiday activity you choose, please keep our service people in your thoughts and prayers.”
