Saturday, July 21

 

11:00 a.m.--- Mayor Eddie A. Perez will bring welcoming remarks to the Corey A. Forrest Special Life Foundation Anti-Gun Violence Rally on the grounds of the Lewis Fox Middle School at the corner of Albany and Blue Hills Avenues in the City’s Upper Albany neighborhood.

 

3:30 p.m.--- Mayor Perez will present awards at the Clay Hill Annual International Community Day at International Park (Albany Avenue and Main Street).

Monday, July 23

 

10:00 a.m.--- Mayor Perez praises federal funding efforts underway for the Connecticut Science Center.  U.S. Senator Joe Lieberman will announce that $1 million in funding has been appropriated by the Senate for the pedestrian plaza of this unique learning complex.  The announcement will be made by at the North Plaza of the Connecticut Convention Center in Downtown Hartford.

 

1:30 p.m.--- Mayor Perez joins Police Chief Daryl Roberts in sharing the positive results of the Truancy Program.  When students are in class learning, they are staying out of trouble.  The news conference will be held at HPD Headquarters on Jennings Road in the North Meadows.

 

5:00 p.m.--- Mayor Perez will congratulate and present a proclamation to Trinity College on 10 years of making dreams come true at “Dream Camp.”  The family and community barbecue celebration takes place at Trinity College Cinestudio, 300 Summit Street.
