REMEMBERING SEPTEMBER 11TH:

9:30 a.m.--- Mayor Eddie A. Perez, U.S. Senator Joseph Lieberman, Hugh MacGill and Police Chief Daryl K. Roberts are the invited guests of Fire Chief Charles A. Teale, Sr. for the Hartford Fire Department’s 9/11 Observance Ceremony at the Old State House. The events marks the fifth anniversary of the terrorist attacks on America. Bells will ring at 9:59 a.m. to commemorate when the South Tower of the World Trade Center collapsed. The Old State House is located on 800 Main Street in Downtown Hartford.
3:00 p.m.--- Mayor Perez will join Chief Roberts at Burr MacManus Mall to salute the Hartford Police personnel who are currently or have served on active military duty. Burr Mall is located on the Wadsworth Atheneum side of City Hall, 550 Main Street in Downtown Hartford.
7:00 p.m.--- Mayor Perez will present a resolution before members of the Court of Common Council requesting a moment of silence to remember the coordinated attack against the United States and remind us all of the high price of our freedom. City Council Chambers are located on the second floor of City Hall, 550 Main Street in Downtown Hartford.
