MAYOR PEREZ’S PUBLIC EVENT SCHEDULE

 FOR THURSDAY, SEPTEMBER 21^ST

11:00 a.m.--- Mayor Perez will join hundreds of residents, community leaders, and activists in paying tribute to Ella Little Cromwell, who passed away on Sunday at the age of 88.  Family will receive visitors at 11:00.  Mayor Perez will present a Memoriam and speak at approximately 12:40.  A Memorial Service is scheduled for Noon.  All of this will take place at Union Baptist Church, 1921 Main Street, in Hartford’s Clay Arsenal neighborhood.  Mrs. Cromwell was a devoted community and political activist who championed voting rights and improving the quality of life for the people of Hartford.

 

 

5:30 p.m.--- Mayor Perez will be one of the presenters for the “Catch a Rising Star” Photo Contest Awards Ceremony, sponsored by the Hartford Image Project.  The reception and ceremony will take place at the Connecticut Convention Center, 100 Columbus Boulevard in Downtown Hartford.  This is where all the winning pictures will be on display starting September 21^st.  The exhibit of the best of the “Faces” and Life” of Hartford will run for three weeks.
