MAYOR PEREZ EXTENDS A YOM KIPPUR MESSAGE

(September 21, 2007)--- Yom Kippur begins at Sundown tonight and Mayor Eddie A. Perez shares this message on this important holiday for the Jewish faith:

“May this sacred time be filled with reflection and prayer.  This ‘Sabbath of Sabbaths’ begins as the world marks International Peace Day, so it is fitting that people of all faiths and cultures work together to find inner solitude as well as to unite with friends and neighbors for a more positive global society.”
