There will also be a groundbreaking ceremony for the “Marcus Garvey Gardens.” Both events will be held at the corner of Granby and Cornwall Streets in the City’s Blue Hills neighborhood and both events will pay tribute to Garvey’s Connecticut connection and to Hartford’s vibrant West Indian community.
6:30 p.m.--- Mayor Perez will make welcoming remarks and present a proclamation at the “Celebrate the New Park Street 23rd Annual Awards Banquet for SAMA.” The Mayor believes small businesses make up the heart and soul of the City’s economy.
