DELAYED TRASH & RECYCLING COLLECTION DUE TO COLUMBUS DAY

News Release

Hartford residents, please be reminded that trash and recyclables will not be collected on Monday, October 9, 2006 due to Columbus Day.  Waste & Recycling collection will operate on a one day delayed schedule.  Collection for this holiday week will take place from Tuesday, October 10th to Saturday, October 14th 2006.  During a holiday week, our Waste & Recycling collection staff will work on Saturday (unless otherwise announced) to collect Friday’s waste and recyclables.

Please place your trash, recyclables, and bulky waste at the curb for pick-up no earlier than 4:00 p.m. on the day before collection or no later than 7:00 a.m. on your collection day.  Residents are reminded to place only the city issued trash carts at curbside.  All trash bags must be placed inside the carts and the lids must be closed.
