MAYOR PEREZ WELCOMES
THE CARIBBEAN AND LATIN AMERICA
TRADE AND TRAVEL SYMPOSIUM
---NEWS ADVISORY---
WHEN: Tuesday, October 17, 2006 at 11:30 a.m.
WHERE: Artists Collective, 1200 Albany Avenue
Hartford’s Upper Albany neighborhood
Hartford is New England’s Rising Star for business and leisure. Mayor Perez says the Capital City is a strong supporter of small businesses for they help form the economic backbone of our region.
Hartford also has the country’s third largest West Indian population, so the Caribbean and Latin America Trade and Travel Symposium is natural location to host this special event.
Mayor Perez is looking to increase economic and job growth opportunities between the City of Hartford and the Caribbean nations by strengthening the trade and travel bond that already exists. In fact, the Mayor was on hand when the Caribbean Trade Council Office held its Grand Opening event just this past Saturday, October 14th, at 3155 Main Street in the City’s Northeast neighborhood.
For more information on the symposium, please contact Harland Henry at (860) 509-6258.
For more information on the Mayor’s role at this event, please contact Sarah Barr, Director of Communications, at (860) 522-4888 x6217.
