Saturday, Oct. 27th
11:00 a.m.--- Blue Hills Streetscape completed ahead of schedule! Mayor Perez will praise community and city leaders and contractors for completing this $2 million project that improves parking, lighting, and commuting along Blue Hills Avenue--- a major artery connecting Hartford’s neighborhoods and the region. The ribbon cutting ceremony will take place at the corner of Burnham Street and Blue Hills Avenue.
Sunday, Oct. 28th
5:00 p.m.--- When Hartford is strong the region is strong! Mayor Perez will discuss New England’s Rising Star’s unprecedented renaissance at the Chabad House Annual Dinner. Increased vibrancy, additional homeownership, and higher educational standards are just a few of the topics. Also, how the region benefits by a strong Hartford by strengthening community partnerships, building corporate partnerships, and solving common challenges together. The dinner takes place at La Renaissance, 53 Prospect Hill Road, East Windsor.
Monday, October 29th
7:45 a.m.--- Hartford embraces convention that promotes education, language, and culture! Mayor Perez will welcome 600 members of The Connecticut Council of Language Teachers, a non-profit organization that promotes language proficiency and the knowledge of world cultures. Approximately 70 different languages are spoken in Hartford. The organization’s fall conference takes place at the Connecticut Convention Center on Columbus Boulevard in Downtown Hartford.
