MAYOR PEREZ’S PUBLIC EVENTS FOR 11/17 AND 11/18:
CELEBRATING EDUCATION AND COMMUNITY

8:45 a.m.--- Mayor Perez will join students and staff at the Breakthrough Magnet School as they celebrate a successful start of the new school year in their brand new building located at 290 Brookfield Street in Hartford’s Behind the Rocks neighborhood. $29,500,000 was invested in constructing this facility for Pre-K through 8th graders. Some unique features of the school include a “green roof” as well as a math lab and a media center. Please join us for the official ribbon cutting.
11:00 a.m.--- Mayor Perez will take part in the annual celebration and fiesta of the “Mother of the Divine Providence” the Patroness of Puerto Rico. The Mass will take place in the Cathedral of Saint Joseph at 140 Farmington Avenue in Hartford’s Asylum Hill neighborhood. A reception will follow immediately at Saint Ann/Immaculate Conception, located at 820 Park Street in the Frog Hollow neighborhood.
