 MAYOR PEREZ’S EVENTS FOR THURSDAY, NOVEMBER 30TH

9:00 a.m.--- Mayor Perez will help about 80 Juniors and Seniors at Bulkeley High School celebrate the discovery of Puerto Rico.  The Mayor will address what it means to be the first Latino Mayor of Hartford and the first of a Capital City in the United States.  The high school is located at 300 Wethersfield Avenue in the Barry Square neighborhood.

 

4:30 p.m.--- Mayor Perez applauds the homegrown talent at the CRT Youth and Art Technology Center during the kick-off ceremony and advance screening of “Big Time Saver” featuring the “Scruples” kids.  This is a series of animated film “shorts” on financial education and money management that will appear on local and national television this fall.  Mayor Perez will praise State Treasurer Denise Nappier, Joe Young (the Executive Director of the Hartford Animation Institute), and Susan Rottner, President of Bank of America-CT (for funding).  The event takes place at 1445 Main Street in Hartford’s Clay Arsenal neighborhood.
