MAYOR PEREZ’S SCHEDULED EVENTS

Wednesday, December 13th

 

12:00 p.m.--- Mayor Eddie A. Perez will make introductory remarks regarding the Homelessness Task Force.  The Capitol Region Council of Governments (CRCOG ) Meeting will take place at the CRRA Trash Museum on Murphy Road in Hartford’s South Meadows neighborhood.

 

5:30 p.m.--- Mayor Perez will share the holiday spirit with children and families who receive services in six Health and Human Services programs.  This “Celebration of Lights Holiday Party” takes place at 33 Coventry Street (NEAT Marketplace) that borders Hartford’s Blue Hills and Northeast neighborhoods.

 

6:45 p.m.--- Mayor Perez joins Councilman Jim Boucher for a City of Hartford Community Update:  What’s happening in your neighborhood.  This community meeting will take place at Kennelly School, 180 White Street in Hartford’s Southwest neighborhood.

 

Thursday, December 14th

 

12:00 p.m.--- The importance of computer skills in today’s job market will be the focus of Mayor Perez’s speech at the SAMA Pasaporte Computer Training Graduation.  The program will be held at 95 Park Street in the Frog Hollow section of the City.

 

5:00 p.m.--- Mayor Perez hands out “Angel Pins” when he greets residents at Congregate Homes for their Holiday Party.  The event takes place at 51 Vine Street in the Upper Albany neighborhood.

 

6:00 p.m.--- The Holiday Spirit is in full bloom at St. Augustine’s Church.  Mayor Perez will handout “Angel Pins” here as well as he meets friends and neighbors at 10 Campfield Avenue in the South End.

 

7:00 p.m.--- “Overcoming Adversity and Always Following Your Dream” is the theme of the Mayor’s address to the Adult Education Graduation at Bulkeley High School.  The Mayor will also hand out diplomas at the ceremony that takes place at 300 Wethersfield Avenue in the Barry Square neighborhood.

 

Friday, December 15th

 

11:30 a.m.--- Mayor Perez will talk about the importance of family at CREC’s Parent Aide Program Graduation.  The event takes place at 34 Sequassen Street in the Sheldon-Charter Oak neighborhood.

 

1:00 p.m.--- Mayor Perez will hand out “Angel Pins” at the Hispanic Senior Center Christmas Party.  The celebration takes place at Pope Park Recreation Center on Pope Park Drive in Frog Hollow.

 

4:00 p.m.--- Youth will make a presentation to the Mayor about job opportunities for teenagers.  The HART Youth Committee meeting will take place in the Function Room on the 2nd floor of City Hall in Downtown Hartford.
