The MAT Garage is a direct stop on the Star Shuttle Route, which provides FREE transportation throughout downtown Hartford.
Directions
I-91 North/South
Take exit 32B, Trumbull Street. Go straight. At
the sixth traffic light, (at the Hilton Hotel), turn
left onto Church Street. The Mat garage entrance is
on the left, immediately after the Hartford Stage
Theatre.
I-84 West
Take Exit 50, Main Street. At the second traffic
light, turn left onto Main Street. Turn right at the
second onto Church Street. The Mat garage entrance
is on the right, immediately before the Hartford
Stage Theatre
I-84 East
Take exit 49, Ann & Hope Streets. Go straight onto
Chapel Street. The Mat garage entrance is on the
left, immediately after the Hartford Stage Theatre.

About the MAT Garage
The MAT Garage is a
five level garage with 907 spaces. It was built in 1975 and is bounded by Trumbull, Church, Chapel, and Main Streets. In 1999, a major renovation project was begun on the garage. Phase II of the renovation project was recently started on the garage.
Since February 1997, the operation of the MAT garage has been contracted out to Connecticut Parking Services. This agreement will expire on February 29th, 2012. The MAT Garage operates at nearly a 100% occupancy rate.
