Garden Street Arrest
On February 5, 2015, members of the Hartford Police Department Special Operations Group (HSI), the Vice and Narcotics Unit, The South Conditions Unit, and the Shooting Task Force were conducting surveillance in the area of Garden Street and Nelson Street. As a vehicle drove past the Detectives, the operator and the passenger were both observed drinking alcoholic beverages. The vehicle pulled the curb in front of a package store at the intersection of Capen Street and Garden Street. The Detectives approached to investigate and the front seat passenger, identified as Carl Hooks (Convicted Felon) was found in possession of a loaded Taurus .357 magnum revolver. The operator of the vehicle, identified as Randolph Privette, had an outstanding arrest warrant (failure to respond/infraction) and both parties were additionally found to be in possession of marijuana.

Evidence: One (1) Taurus .357 Magnum revolver, containing three (3) live and three (3)
spent ammunition casings, nine (9) bags of marijuana, and $252.00 US Currency
