Firearm Arrest at Albany & Baltimore
On July 24, 2015, at approximately 1:17pm, Hartford Police Department Patrol Officers in the area of Baltimore Street and Albany Avenue observed a vehicle committing several motor vehicle violations and conducted a traffic stop. During the motor vehicle stop, a juvenile passenger in the vehicle began exhibiting physical behaviors consistent with someone attempting to conceal a firearm. To ensure Officer safety both the operator and juvenile passenger were removed from the vehicle, detained in handcuffs and patted down for weapons. The juvenile, 15, of East Hartford, CT was found to be in possession of a loaded Ruger LCP .380 firearm. The juvenile was arrested and transported to the HPD Special Investigation Division where the juvenile was debriefed and his parent notified; the juvenile was later transported to the Juvenile Detention Facility for several firearm charges. The operator of the vehicle was identified as Keemo White, 18, of Hartford, CT was arrested for numerous motor vehicle charges and transported to the Hartford Police Booking facility to be processed.
