STF Investigation Ends in Arrest

Over the course of several weeks, Hartford Shooting Task Force Detectives have been conducting an ongoing investigation into a shots fired incident which took place in the area of Maple Avenue at Essex Street. During the course of their investigation, Detectives became aware of possible firearm and narcotics activity at the J&K Convenience store, located at 194 Maple Avenue. Detectives discovered an over the counter marijuana sale operation being conducted at the convenience store. STF Detectives applied for and were granted a court approved Search and Seizure Warrant.

On August 20, 2015, at 11:40 am, the Search Warrant was executed by members of the Hartford Shooting Task Force; where it was revealed that the store owner, identified as Kendall Andrews, 22, of Hartford was utilizing the J&K Convenience store to sell marijuana. In addition, Andrews was packaging and storing marijuana next door at the Beloved's Boutique, located at 192 Maple Avenue. Seized during the execution of the Search and Seizure Warrant were the following items;

Seized:
Video surveillance system
Packaging material and scales
Walkie Talkies and cellular phones
$3,458.00 in U.S currency
1,348 grams/2.96 pounds of marijuana, packaged in small amounts for over the counter sale

Arrested: Kendall Andrews, 22, of Hartford, CT
Charges:
1. Possession of more than 1 kilogram of Marijuana
2. Possession with intent to sell Marijuana
3. Possession with intent to sell Marijuana 1500 Ft of a school
4. Conspiracy to sell Marijuana
5. Possession of drug paraphernalia
6. Drug Factory

Arrested: Shaquille Killiebrew, 20, of Manchester, CT
Charges:
1. Possession of more than 1 kilogram of Marijuana
2. Possession with intent to sell Marijuana
3. Possession with intent to sell Marijuana 1500 Ft of a school
4. Conspiracy to sell Marijuana
5. Possession of drug paraphernalia
6. Drug Factory
7. Interfering with Police

Arrested: Kevin Spencer, 27, of West Hartford, CT
Charges:
1. Possession of more than 1 kilogram of Marijuana
2. Possession with intent to sell Marijuana
3. Possession with intent to sell Marijuana 1500 Ft of a school
4. Conspiracy to sell Marijuana
5. Possession of drug paraphernalia
6. Drug Factory
7. Interfering with Police

Arrested: Ronda Burrell, 45, of Hartford, CT
Charges:
1. Interfering with a Search Warrant
