2010 HPD Explorer Post 45 Class Schedule

Explorer Program Goals are to:

  • Provide career training in the law enforcement
  • Provide social activities
  • Provide community services
  • Provide leadership training
  • Provide training for personal fitness
  • Provide outdoor activities

Qualifications:

  • Be between the ages of 14-20 years of age, 13 year olds only if they have graduated from eighth grade
  • Have a good moral character
  • No police record
  • Complete an oral interview process
  • Be able to attend explorer meetings on a weekly basis
  • Be willing to volunteer time to attend explorer functions
  • Be willing to commit to the code of conduct and exemplify the professional image of the Hartford Police Department
  • Pass a background examination
